Bryan Ferry’s suave 1976 solo classic Let’s Stick Together returns in a stunning new edition pressed on blue vinyl. Compiling recordings made between 1973 and 1976, the album brought together a celebrated run of standalone singles, B-sides and reinterpretations of songs first recorded by Roxy Music. Produced by Chris Thomas — whose work with Ferry and Roxy Music stretched from For Your Pleasure through to Siren — the album also features key contributions from Roxy members Phil Manzanera, Paul Thompson and Eddie Jobson, alongside an inspired ensemble of session players including guitarist Chris Spedding in the first of many collaborations with Ferry.
Let’s Stick Together captures Bryan Ferry perfecting the art of reinterpretation — transforming rhythm & blues, rock’n’roll and soul standards into something elegant, sensual and unmistakably his own. From the smoky swagger of Wilbert Harrison’s “Let’s Stick Together” to reimagined versions of songs by The Beatles, Jimmy Reed and others, Ferry filters every track through a world of late-night glamour, sophisticated groove and cinematic melancholy. Unusually for the period, the album also saw Ferry revisiting and reshaping earlier Roxy Music recordings in his evolving solo style, blurring the line between cover version, reinvention and self-mythology.
