Celebrating the 20th anniversary of “In A Space Outta Sound,” Nightmares On Wax returns with a special reinterpretation: “In A Space Outta Sound – Adrian Sherwood Reconstruction.” For this project, George Evelyn (DJ E.A.S.E.) handed the original tapes to legendary dub producer Adrian Sherwood, who reimagines eight tracks from the classic album in a completely new sonic form.

Rooted in reggae, dub, and sound system culture, Sherwood transforms the beloved downtempo record into a deep, atmospheric dub reconstruction—following in the tradition of iconic remix albums like Massive Attack’s “No Protection.” Bold reinterpretations of tracks such as “You Wish” (reworked as “You Bliss”) and “Flip Ya Lid” (now “Flippin Eck”) give the album a fresh perspective. Featuring additional instrumentation from members of the On-U Sound collective, the project becomes a creative collaboration that reimagines the timeless Nightmares On Wax sound.

An essential release for fans of dub, downtempo, electronica, and sound system culture.
