For Depeche Mode, “Construction Time Again” marks the decisive step from synthetic pop to a darker, more industrial sound. The 1983 album combines political acuity with experimental sound textures a milestone between youthful lightness and mature sound aesthetics. On black 180g vinyl, the metallic beats and analog sound layers unfold their full depth, while the iconic artwork in the large-format cover design shows its full effect.
