    Release date: August 21, 2026

With their second release, Knats are making their major breakthrough: produced by Geordie Greep, the album is shortlisted for the 2026 Mercury Prize as "Album of the Year." The Newcastle band combines virtuoso fusion jazz with melodic immediacy, rock influences and infectious grooves. At its heart, the album is a love letter to their Newcastle home and the working-class culture of North East England. Following a #2 position on the UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart with the album's digital release, plus appearances on "Later… with Jools Holland", at the BBC Proms and Montreux Jazz Festival, Knats have established themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting new jazz acts.
