The album “Big Band Bossa Nova” has long since become a classic, the track “Soul Bossa Nova” from it, sampled countless times and often heard in films and advertising, even became the anthem of the 1998 Soccer World Cup. Jones' catchy and swinging interpretation of Latin classics such as “Desafinado” and “Manha de Carnaval” is garnished with solo delicacies by top musicians such as Clark Terry (trumpet), Roland Kirk (flute), Phil Woods & Paul Gonsalves (saxophone) and Jim Hall (guitar).
