With different classics songs, "Vida" showcases an artist in an exuberant phase. The then 36-year-old revealed a new artistic maturity on his eleventh studio album, that was well received by critics and fans alike. Chico began to address more personal and poetic themes in his compositions. "Vida" was created in this context and deals with social issues in a more subtle way. Appropriately, the songs were given sparse orchestral arrangements that flirted with minimalism and contemporary Brazilian pop music. A treasure of the affective memory of several generations of MPB fans, makes "Vida" a undebatable classic and is now available on green vinyl.
