This Christmas album brings together, for the first time, excerpts from the famous Baroque Christmas Concerto with many other Christmas carols, such as Silent Night, Holy Night, Danse des Mirlitons from The Nutcracker Suite, Arcangelo Corelli’s Pastorale and the Ave Maria by Johann Sebastian Bach/Gounod. Featuring greats such as the soprano Leontyne Price and the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, this collection promises an unforgettable Christmas season. The album also includes striking photographs of Herbert von Karajan and his snow-covered house in Anif near Salzburg. A unique album for the festive season!
