Leonard Cohen – *Live in London* documents the Canadian songwriter’s later stage career at the height of his late-career renaissance beginning in 2008. The album brings together key pieces from his body of work in newly arranged, solemn interpretations that blend folk, chanson, and understated blues, marked by Cohen’s aged, resonant voice. On vinyl, this recording unfolds a special spatial depth and underscores the concentrated, almost ceremonial atmosphere of the concert. Within Cohen’s discography, this live album marks a reflective retrospective that simultaneously makes his unbroken artistic authority audible.
