“Mother Earth's Plantasia” by Mort Garson is a 1976 electronic album originally conceived as music for houseplants and the people who care for them. Inspired by the book “The Secret Life Of Plants,” Garson created a melodic sound world centred on the then relatively new Moog synthesizer. Tracks such as “Symphony For A Spider Plant,” “Concerto For Philodendron And Pothos” and “Music To Soothe The Savage Snake Plant” directly reflect the album’s distinctive botanical concept. This LP edition was released by Sacred Bones in 2019.
