Patti Smith’s debut album Horses (1975) marks a pivotal moment between proto-punk and the New York avant-garde and remains a seminal work for its fusion of poetry and rock music. Produced by John Cale, the album unfolds with a raw, stripped-down sound that places Smith’s recitative voice and literary imagery at the forefront. This vinyl release of *Horses* remains a seminal document of the early punk era and underscores Patti Smith’s enduring influence on alternative music movements.
