Your order will be sent out as soon as all items are on stock. Items marked as “Available for immediate delivery” usually will be sent out within 24 hours. The XX's sound is as minimalistic as their band name. Somewhere between Mazzy Star, The Cure, and My Bloody Valentine, they stylize a sound that is as dark as it is crystal clear, the likes of which we haven't heard in a long time. The London-based quartet, fronted by singer Romy Madley Croft and guitarist Oliver Sim, loves darkness, 80s guitar riffs, and American R&B. It sounds a bit crude, but it's the reason for The XX's unique sound, which NME immediately proclaimed the in-sound for London. The breathy vocals, the almost starkly bare guitars, and sparse samples are reminiscent of the dark dream pop of the eighties, yet still sound excitingly new.
