Teatime Dub Encounters is the name of the magnificent four-track EP with which none other than Iggy Pop - the Godfather of Punk - and the British electro giants Underworld present us with the surprise release of the year.

The daring collaboration between these musical legends began when Rick Smith from Underworld invited Iggy Pop to the Savoy Hotel in London. There, the two Brits, best known for their contribution to the incomparable Trainspotting soundtrack, wanted to talk about working together on the soundtrack for the sequel to the 90s classic.

The EP is the result of some secret hotel recording sessions that began a few weeks after both Underworld and Iggy Pop released their latest albums on March 18, 2016. This is not about wallowing in the past and digging up old records. It's about the work of artists who are constantly evolving and making music that combines spontaneity and creativity into a perfect symbiosis.
