"Suzanne", "Famous Blue Raincoat", "Bird On The Wire" and other classics from the legendary Leonard Cohen, reimagined by big voices with personality, produced by four-time GRAMMY winner Larry Klein. Cohen's own recordings with a casually whispered voice have written pop history. The new versions by Norah Jones, Peter Gabriel, Gregory Porter, James Taylor, Iggy Pop, Mavis Staples & Co. take the mood of the famous originals and reinvent them. Sometimes powerful and intense, sometimes melancholic and tender. A band of top musicians accompanies the singers: guitarist Bill Frisell, saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, pianist Kevin Hays, organist Larry Goldings and others. Regardless of whether you get involved with Cohen's enigmatic songs or just surrender to the music and atmosphere, "Here It Is" is a treat.
