    Release date: May 29, 2026

With “Inferno,” Boards of Canada return with a new studio album that combines their signature melodies and atmospheric soundscapes with the esoteric influences explored on “Societas X Tape” and the darker ambience of “Tomorrow’s Harvest.” Speech samples take on a more prominent role, adding another narrative layer to the duo’s electronic sound. Running for around 70 minutes, the album is presented here as a black vinyl 2LP in a gatefold sleeve.
