One of the most successful Oscar Peterson albums finally in Verve's audiophile LP series! Producer Jim Davis was particularly keen to capture the live sound of Peterson and his trio in the studio. Peterson, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen played together like a well-oiled machine for 5 years. The catchy repertoire consists of current songs, bossa novas and well-known film themes.

VERVE ACOUSTIC SOUNDS SERIES: Stereo, mastered fully analogue from the original tapes by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound, QPR pressing (180 g), firm tip-on gatefold (Stoughton Printing), padded inner sleeve

Oscar Peterson, piano ∙ Ray Brown, bass ∙ Ed Thigpen, drums
